I'm vegetarian and there was plenty for me to choose from, all hot, tasty and dishes frequently topped up. Good selection of deserts too.

Unbeatable sunday carvery @£7.90 all you can eat... The Chinese food is good too

Wonderful service. Visited with a young gentleman with autism. Asked to be seated in a quieter area and this was facilitated without question even though it was very busy. Informed by manager that they would ensure no one else would be seated near us to keep it as quiet as possible. Unfortunately the accessible toilet was out of order. Management chose to close the female toilets for a short period of time so staff were able to support this gentleman appropriately. 5 star service!

I lived the fact that their food was satisfying. That's like the first buffet I had ever been to so it was fun. I particularly loved the ice cream, fried chicken and fried vegetables and if I had another opportunity to visit a place in Sunderland, tyne and wear, I think this would be the first.

For beginning I was surprised by the place for a tourist in Sunderland is easy to find is in a central location nearby public library and winter Gardens. However the place is nice and cozy, very clean the food rate well for that and prices I'll give them a plus 5. Staff is OK they could improve a bit more be more prompt etc. But yes I would come back hope they'll keep the good food, fresh and nice cooked.

Been going here for years and enjoyed every visit with my family except for today. We fed our 15 month old his baby food before taking our 9 year old son and ourselves for early tea. Our baby had half a chip and a spoon of rice from his mother's plate ( which he spat out ). And at the end of the meal we were charged for half a chip and a suck of an orange. Not a happy bunny. Told the New manager ( who I've never seen before) that by insisting we pay for a baby that didn't eat.... he'd just lost our regular patronage and a poor review to boot. Silly man. Will never go back. Be careful every one because there is no discretion. We were told that if you take up a seat, you will be charged .... even if your a baby sucking on a chip.

worst place for food. absolutely disgusting. more than half of the dishes were empty. 9 tubs of ice cream completely empty nothing for deserts apart from one jaffa cake & dryed up pineapple and orange. more than 3 people asked what was happening with the food on the buffet as trays were empty for near enough half an hour. brought out a chocolate gateu that was still frozen in the middle. manager argued it wasnt frozen however hadnt tryed it. full of ice and rock hard in the middle. food was cold from the food trays. will not be returning complete waist of money.

Can tell there is no longer any competition for the panda since the other buffets in the area have been closed down the effort put into the food has went down hill the night menu is so disappointing now compared to what it ones was. I have eating here for many years now but after 3 bad meals I have give up on the place.

Good variety of food but not very good quality. It's acceptable for a last second dash for dinner if there is nothing better nearby, but not for a planned meal. Also quite a poor atmosphere and poor service.

We took our boys here for the first time. We have been going for years as a couple or with friends and always enjoyed it. They catered for my eldests's quite bland diet but also had a Sundays dinner available too (only available on Sundays) there is a wide range of food options and for a good price. Children are decided on height if a child is under 4ft 11in then it is £3.95. I was a bit disappointed they didn't link up with the culture event for Chinese New year and get involved in showing off the Chinese culture and offering something towards the New Year event at the winter gardens I feel they missed an opportunity to get more involved in the community as well as getting more people through the door.

Been today, food was not very hot, put a complaint in the manager said yes it wasn't at the hottest but more food was coming out, well a bit late, was annoyed as only offered 10% off bill. never again.

DisappointedWent 14th November for the evening buffet. Hadn't been since it first opened.The place was quite, must admit the weather was horrible. First impressions staff uninterested and didn't want to be there. No duck asked and they brought it to the table unfortunately the duck was cold what a shame.Food OK but Panda lacked any kind of atmosphere and I wouldn't rush back.

About as basic as you can get for a buffet. The food is ok, but not special. All the food feels very cheap, but given the price you get what you pay for.

Went with a few friends .the place was empty. Food was cold and dry we told the day manager about this and he was rude and arrogant when we commented.he used the food prob and held it on to the metal container instead of the chicken to get a inaccurate reading .we asked for our money back he bare faced lied when he said we have already eaten 3-4 plates each (we had been there 5 minutes ) utterly disgraceful service and food .avoid this place like the plage .

Value for money love the salted and pepper ribs

Food quite nice, not overly hot. Ribs had depleted when we arrived and weren't replenished during our visit.Decent choice and as much as you like.8/10

Luke warm food tables not being cleared of plates which left no room, food tasted proper salty and horrible first time and last time never again

Absolutely disgusting restaurant food was cold. All the chicken was raw and really dry. Trays were alll empty then went for dessert the was nothink their haha then the feached chocolate cake out wot was still frozen. just absolutely joke of a place the thing needs closing down. Would never recommend this place to anybody

Great food at a great price. Soups, lots of starters and main courses. Good selection of desserts including a crumble! Brilliant service from staff too x

THE PANDER IN SUNDERLAND IS A CHINESE BUFFET, IT IS A VERY LARGE RESTAURANT. YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF EVERYTHING ON OFFER. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND YOU CAN EAT AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE. IF YOU ARE VISITING SUNDERLAND, IT IS WELL WORTH A VISIT.

Very good food for the price and obviously all you can eat. Have a wide range if Chinese food only criticism is drinks are far too expensive for obvious reasons. However I thought this backfired as it would put a lot of people from buying drinks at all

Nice place to eat value for money

The worst dining experience for quite a while. We, as a family have eaten here a few times now, but never again. Dirty cutlery & glasses. The chicken was pink, not cooked properly. The toilets are an absolute discrace. The plates left on the table until the end & to top it all off, my son found a black hair in his food, was clearly none of ours. Never ever again 😢😢😢

Extremely good for the price. Friendly staff good selection of dishes, not the most choice you will ever have, but great for the price. We had lunch buffet for 2, 2 pints of diet Coke, water and Chinese tea all for less than £25!They also have pizza, chips, nuggets, sausages on the buffet, sorts the little ones, and a few big ones too ;)

Went here for the lunch buffet, prices are good and can’t knock the staff, they’re lovely and extremely helpful. The issues are that there isn’t much variety in food at all (for a Chinese buffet) and the plates were cold, so your food went cold after sitting there for a minute or so. Some of the food tasted a little funky as well.I don’t think I’ll be coming back

One of the best all you can eat Buffet's me and my partner has been to. My partner can't get enough of it. We traveled to Sunderland from middlesbrough to see a band at the independent venue (which coincidentally happens to be next door) and it was tremendous. The place has lovely food, a warm friendly atmosphere, fairly priced drinks compared to other buffet restaurants and super friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back again.

Come 2 the panda with 4 adult and 3 children What a waste of money. Didn't eat much at all as we noticed the chicken was pink so put us all off. Asked to speak to manager 3 times but no one come so when going to pay we complained about the chicken and all we where offered was 1 free childManager didn't even care that they are serving under cooked food. Customer service is a disgrace and the food is even worse. Will not be returning

This place has gone downhill, there was hardly no food out trays empty. The food that was out looked like it had been out for a long time. That will be mine & my families last visit.

Worth. Every. Penny.Food was great. Service was great although it was a bit odd having to stand in a glass cubicle to wait for attention while watching everyone inside eat it felt a bit weird.I was brave and tried the stir fried mussels, i always try to avoid any seafood because I am unsure but i tried them and i was impressed!Will have to visit again and for the price it is totally worth it!

Great place if you love all you can eat. They don't just do Chinese there's chops and chips. Burgers .a bit of everything to suit different tastes. The drinks are a bit more expensive here but paying the price for the buffet it's worth it. Staff are great and very patient I have a special needs son whose a fussy eater and they were fab with him. I'd highly recommend to everyone

It wasn't a good experience. Reviews I read about it made me to give it a chance and go but I regret and never again. My partner and me are usually eating in buffets and it's easy for us to compare. I can assure that this one is one of the worst I've ever been. My reasons : No variety, tables are very close to each other, noisy and hot place, food wasn't very fresh and neither tasty, too much sweets, a bit dirty cutlery, etc. As a positive side I can underline a good staff, very good price and good location. I'm not very selective with food and here I didn't know what to take exactly.

One of my favourites, whenever I'm near by and hungry, this is my go to every time, they always have a good selection which is rate at a buffet, I always get the soup, fried rice, chicken curry, sweet and sour pork, chow main, it's always fresh and delicious. Another good point is they're filled Regularly, again which is rare at a buffet, staff are lovely and it has a nice atmosphere, the one point for improvement I'd say, is the fish tank was very murky and its situated right at the bar so its literally unmissable, get a water change guys, it takes 20 mins, par that everything is impeccable, the place immaculate

went hear for food with the kids. was a crxp place chicken nuggets where RAW would not recommend or go back. told staff and was only offered to take the childs meal off.

Me and my 14 year old sister went there for lunch today and I had the sweet and sour sauce with some chicken the chicken was chewy and the sauce tasted mostly like vinegar we then had brownies for dessert a brownie is not supposed to stick to the top of your mouth me and her went back home we had a bad stomach and me and her were sick afterwards.The only good bit was the drinks😡😡😡

Great value for money. Varied meats and seafood in a different array of sauces as well as the usual favourites. Friendly welcoming staff. Recommended
